Aromaöl

Aromatic oils are scented plant essences used to create a calming or uplifting atmosphere during a wellness treatment.

The term

What does Aromaöl mean?

Aroma oils are natural, fragrant essences extracted from plants and offer various beneficial effects on the body and mind. They are obtained through distillation or cold pressing from flowers, leaves, bark, or roots. Depending on the plant type, aroma oils can have calming, invigorating, or balancing effects.

In massage therapy, aroma oils are often blended with carrier oils such as almond, jojoba, or coconut oil to nourish the skin and enhance relaxation. Popular essential oils in aroma massages include lavender for calming, peppermint for refreshing, and sandalwood for promoting inner balance. The fragrance of these oils is absorbed through the skin and the sense of smell, creating a profound impact on overall well-being.

Häufige Fragen

How does an essential oil differ from a massage oil?

An essential oil is a concentrated aromatic substance derived from plants. Massage oil usually consists of a fatty carrier oil that allows the hands to glide over the skin. For an aromatic massage, suitable essential oils may be diluted in this carrier oil.

Does an aromatic massage have to smell strong?

No. The strength of the scent depends on the oil and its concentration; a strong smell is not a sign of quality. If you are sensitive to fragrances or dislike certain scents, an unperfumed massage oil is an alternative.
